Welcome to the 50th episode of the Give A Heck Podcast!
Join Dwight Heck and his guest, Gail Swift, as they speak about the many principles and approaches that help children, teens, and young adults succeed in whatever they do in life.
When her weirdness wasn’t celebrated, Gail found herself trying things that didn’t work for her growing up. Eventually, by finding herself in places and people that knew how to highlight her’ true gift,’ and with Christ, Gail learned how to use her distinction as her key to contribute to the world. For Gail, when people decide for themselves and own it—it sticks.
In this episode, Gail talks about the effects of an unhealthy household, what Kolbe Youth Advocates are, how you’re most successful when taking actions in the way you’re born to take, and her ‘question over suggestions’ technique when facilitating people during situations that they can reflect from.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- The effects of unhealthy household culture.
- What are Kolbe Youth Advocates?
- Your life is yours; other people aren’t going to live it for you.
- Gail Swift – on kids, arrogance, and humility
- The victim mentality vs. owner mentality
- And much more!
About Gail Swift:
Gail is the President of Plans to Prosper Coaching and is one of the very first Kolbe Youth Advocates in the world. As a parent, Gail wants to help her children succeed. She recognized when they were young that they work in a different way than she does, so Gail wanted a quantifiable way to see these differences. She thrives on having a lot of things going on at once and works best under pressure. She brainstorms with her mouth then sees if it’s a viable option.
